Here in the states we enjoy a freedom not known in many parts of the world. Even in the aftermath of 9.11 we seem to put our feet up in the wonderful comfort that we've come to enjoy. I post these photos as a thank you. Thanks to all the soldiers who willingly put thier asses on the line for us everyday. We take them for granted and it should be a crime if we'd forget them. My buddie Steve, shown here at a bridge in 2004 is one of the brave who has made it his job to ensure our freedom and provide security for a select group in Iraq. Steve's real name is not just classified, it's top secrect. So are the names of the people you'll see on this page. Thier faces have been left unobscured but the names have been removed from the photo titles to protect thier actual identity. Also, in some instances, locations have been renamed so as not to compromise any person or thier interest over in the sand box. Wargear would like to thank Steve for his contribution to this site.

Photos of a car bombing at the bridge Steve is standing at in the photo above. Moments after the photo of him was shot, soldiers and police lost thier lives from some scumbag terrorist with a bomb in his car.

To think my own friend is there in the middle of this shit completely freaks me out. I fucking hate terrorists.

Another bomb goes off. Wonder how many this time.
Another shot of the bridge before the explosion.
AK mags on the roof of the "team house".
One less AK shooting at soldiers or inocent civilians. Odd variant... Chinese type 56 front end with bayonet on a custom reciever. Arabic inscriptions i front of the mag well.
More AK goodies. The fucking filthy insurgents love the AK.
Al Hamra
A quick stop along the MSR (Main Supply Route). Pictured are some of Steve's co-workers.
More co-worker bad asses.
Interesting... U.S. Operator in the center. The man on the left seems to be a Khyzakistan Soldier. He wears a copy of the US 6 color desert BDU with a grey color mixed in. The pattern seems busy with smaller shapes than the original. The man on the right is a Ukrainian soldier wearing the new camouflage uniform. They did a beautiful job on this one!
Body armour and sneakers. No, they ain't your standard soldiers.
Sometimes, you need the BAD to do GOOD work.
Fuck... I don't even know what to say.
A couple of the guys at Crossed Swords.
Friends for life. Can't do this type of work and not form bonds.
Guading the shitter... I mean, vehicles. Oh, also guarding our freedom. Thanks, guys. We fucking love you!
I joke a bit but this is serious fucking shit. These dudes have to be on the ball all the time.
No fucking off. Eyes open for ambushes. The photo you are looking at is not of a man standing in front of a vehicle. It's a definition of fearlessness. Think I'm wrong? You fucking try it.

I again thank Steve and his co-workers for the use of these pics. This is only part I and while I have enough photos to make parts 2 through 6, I eagerly await more.

Also... thanks for defending our freedom. You guys rule!
